Common Cold and Physical Activity

Should you exercise with a common coldWinter season is well under way and here in the UK the weather is getting worse, cue ‘man flu.’

I had this ‘Man-Flu’ last week and I was rather unsure whether I should exercise or not, I’ve heard mixed messages for years saying you should participate in physical activity sweat the common cold out or you shouldn’t because your body needs all its strength to fight the cold and lung capacity is reduced when you have the common cold, anyway so now that I’m feeling better I’ve finally decided to do some research on the topic and relay the findings back to you, so that you can make the right decision based on scientific evidence.

Need To Lose Weight? Use This 2 Point Guide to Determine if You Do.

No need to beat around the bush on this one…But I’ll build the suspense a little….

Theres all sorts of scales, calculations and methods that can give you a measurement of your weight, but all cost either money or time.

Theres one way that you’ll know for sure if you need to lose weight; it costs nothing and it takes around three seconds.

  1. Stand in front of a body size mirror, preferably almost naked, with just your underwear on,
  2. Jump up and down.

Whatever moves is fat.  If theres a lot you need to lose weight. If these very little to no movement at all, your fine.

There are exceptions to this rule, but generally this is your ultimate test.

Anyway I’ve been doing some research about osteoporosis recently and decided to write an article about the problem which is becoming more and more of a burden on peoples lives. [...]
